bitten!!!

Today's class was this card...pity the photo doesn't show up the Stickles or sheen...

Q, Mu, Inga

Yesterday the weather was dreadful - it rained heavily all day - it's my own fault for showing you me having lunch in the garden on Wednesday!!! they say it can jump up and bite you on the bum if you're not careful and it looks like it just did!...so after work I snuggled up on the sofa and started my new journal...yes another one... this one is alpha doodling...

The wind has been positively arctic today - down to 6 degrees from 18 on Wednesday - severe drop - there is even snow on the top of Montgo a national park mountain near home.

and lastly here's my 365 challenge calendar up to date...

so I am off to make my hot choccy drink

A touch of intaglio

Fabulous class today - ladies who are good fun and lovely products to work with. We triple embossed slide mailers and flowers. Unfortunately, the lustre effect doesn't show up too well in the photos.

just look at these of Carole's - have a good trip back to the USA on Friday and hope to see you again soon

these are Christine's

and these are Erica's

and earring watch day 3 - little gold and tortoieshell numbers courtesy of M&S - I'll keep going till I run out of earrings or days!!!

Right, I'm off to the dentist - found a crunchy bit in a banana last week so think I may have lost a filling!!!

A little bit of lustre

Karen, Lorraine, Christine and Erica.

Very enjoyable class this morning. I showed techniques using mica spray inks and lustres as the start of an album. I will get the album photographed in a day or so and put it on here.

We had a crafty holidaymaker, Karen join us which is so lovely - perhaps you'll e-mail photos of your finished album. Have a safe journey back to UK tomorrow.

Right, lunch is ready so

Messy morning

This morning's class was lovely and messy!! I am teaching techniques on tags to keep on a book ring for reference. Notes on the back help to remember how they have done the techniques when they get home.

We distressed, stamped and sprayed before and after masking with Tims lovely masks - however, I do wish the alphabet set came with a black base on which to reposition the letters. So hard to find the correct place to replace them. Moan over - now to show the ladies work.

Am now off to play with the metal and moulds Colin picked up for me from Lin's shop so

Bit too good to be true

I woke up to blue sky and bright sunshine which was lovely as the weather has been awful since the weekend. Good start to the day. Certainly lifted the spirits.

After breakfast I took photos of Bailey as he was due for a haircut today but at lunchtime found the date had been put back to Friday so here is the shaggy uncut version of my dog. He will look totally different come Friday.
Tia, my pretty faced little cat said and what about me!

Went off to the shop in high spirits to find that the rain all day yesterday and all throught the night had blown in under the door and left little trails and puddles on the floor so after mopping up I decided to mske some atc's. I haven't made any for a long while now. I used to participate in a swap forum but I found I didn't have enough time once I opened the shop which was such a shame as I enjoyed receiving these little works of art. I took ages cutting up the little pieces of card........great time wasting ploy..... but once I got going I could have stayed there all day. They are not great works of art but served the purpose which was to get me back into the swing of making them again.

bit of stamping, dabbers, triple embossing and Stickles.

As the morning wore on the sky darkened and the sun disappeared and by the time I came home for lunch it was raining again!

Spent a very unproductive afternoon on paperwork - yuk! and then back to the shop - I just love Wednesday evenings - these girls are just the greatest. We laugh, pull legs, play music (who, I ask!!! and they laugh!!!!)oh yes and craft.

The girls finished their albums - a 3 week project - and they all turned out really well which is more than I can say for the photography...and this was the best one of the three I took!!!

I got home about 8.30 and sat down to catch up on America's next top model cycle 8 with a bowl of Colin's home made leek and potato soup - just right when its cold and rainy outside - love that programme - very easy watching when you just need to flop.

Right, i'm off to bed now as its almost midnight. No classes tomorrow so lots of playtime between customers - yes! maybe even a few more atc's you never know.

Night, night Sue xx
