I'm Happy. It's definite!!! Yes, my good friend Tanya has booked her flight to come for a week in April and I'm really excited. We get on so well and are on the same wavelength and I am really looking forward to her visit. We'll create, eat chocolate, laugh, shop and then create and eat more chocolate.....have more laughs and then do it all again!!! Bliss!
On the work front I seem to have been busy lately without anything to show for it. When I returned from wedding dress shopping last month I seemed to hit a plateau - ideas didn't work, it almost felt as though my head was empty..... but at last things are starting to come together and so here are a couple of my latest projects.
First off is an album I made. The papers are from the so gorgeous Delish Designs range with Laura Ashley die cut flowers, Crafty Individuals images and Paper Artsy stamps.
I made this album as a gift for a friend. I wonder who....!!!
The beautiful double sided papers are from Robin's nest with yet more Crafty Individual pictures and Paper artsy stamps and of course can't forget the Stickles. Gotta have a bit of glitz!!
I've also been working on a scrapbook page or three but not finished yet. Maybe tomorrow. Waiting for dabber to dry on grungeboard before it can be Stickled!! is that a word?? well it is now! ha!ha!
Right I'm off to bed with a mug of hot chocolate - no surprise there - and to start the first of a series of three books I've been lent about life with the Amish seen through the eyes of two sisters. Its called The Covenant by Beverley Lewis. I'll let you know how I get on tomorrow.
Night, night

I'm back - been away too long...
...yes, I have been away for far too long. I seem to have been making projects and teaching classes with not a lot of finished work to show for it!!
Few updates to get started with...
The girls at kidz club on Wed 11th Feb had a go with Alcohol inks (Ranger of course)
Bit out of focus but my camera seems to be playing up at the moment - must get it sorted.
Next was Valentine's day so I got out Tim's flourish mask and the Sticky Fingers inks raspberry and blackberry and got spraying. Very more-ish as you can tell!!! Also, sprayed some card with olive and maple (not shown) which will be lovely around Christmas time.
Those two classes went very well and I have been asked to repeat this class at a local craft club so will have to rethink the card as it's too late for a Valentine card unfortunately. Loads of lovely samples to pass around though!
Then on to Monday 23rd Feb when the Mon kidz club girls completed the plain wood boxes they had painted, sewed, glued and decorated for their Grandads.
This morning I taught a class based on a card I had seen on Crafty Individuals website.
My versions were made with stamps from Crafty Individuals and Paper Artsy and grungeboard and
1. painted with mica powders from Blonde Moments
2. inked with Broken China Distress ink pads.
I will leave you with a view of the beach at the Port end of town taken on Sunday when I took the dog for a walk when fetching the Sunday papers. The weather today is still as lovely.
Bye for now. Will definitely blog again tomorrow as I have to try and photograph the albums the Wed kidz are making plus one I have made for a very special friend who is hopefully visiting me in April for a week of fun and frolics!!!!!
