More triple embossing

As the class on triple embossing on Tuesday was such a success I decided to repeat it today and it was just as popular.

and Margaret was very happy with hers

...and finally today's earring watch - a black and gold bird

Inky Fingers

I took Bailey to the shop today as he looked so sad when I went to leave the house. He has become used to someone being there since Mum arrived

but Colin and Mum have gone to the UK as Colin's Father who is 91 is in hospital and sadly it looks unlikely that he will come out. I will know more when Colin has spoken to the social worker tomorrow. Until about 4 months ago he was in his own home and managing reasonably well with carers going in but he has deteriorated very quickly - he did, however, manage to get to Victoria's wedding. Here he is with the lovely Jodie (Jon's girlfriend)

This morning I put the finishing touches to the project for Sunday's 25th class. The ladies have been asking about the Wendy Vecchi flowers that I made and so today I have made Alcoholic inked boxes - hence the Inky Fingers - to put chocolates or other pressies in for the table on Christmas Day. They look much prettier in real life - the camera hasn't captured the shimmer of the inks.

Here's a journal page I made yesterday but forgot to put on here.

I have to make my pages from scratch. Some people are able to colour pages and even add stamped and photographic images in advance but I can't seem to work out what colour a page should be without knowing what is going on it. Maybe, one day.

Last but not least today's earring watch - varying shades of amethyst.

The girls worked really hard again tonight

...but just look at the state of the table.... am I complaining NO - just look at the standard of work they produce...

this is one of the pages Melissa made - she marbled the card, diecut the letters from paper she had made and stamped and heat embossed the flower and painted it with mica paint

The albums should be finished next week so a bumper blog next Wednesday evening.

I have included the lovely Yaa in the earring watch as she has the most fabulous earrings....

....and here's mine for today...turquoise and pink chandeliers

It's 00.46 so I'm off to bed now so

A touch of intaglio

Fabulous class today - ladies who are good fun and lovely products to work with. We triple embossed slide mailers and flowers. Unfortunately, the lustre effect doesn't show up too well in the photos.

just look at these of Carole's - have a good trip back to the USA on Friday and hope to see you again soon

these are Christine's

and these are Erica's

and earring watch day 3 - little gold and tortoieshell numbers courtesy of M&S - I'll keep going till I run out of earrings or days!!!

Right, I'm off to the dentist - found a crunchy bit in a banana last week so think I may have lost a filling!!!

Tonight the younger girls were having such a good time they didn't want to go home - again!!

Dayana showing the cover of her almost finished journal -

Lauren and Dayana co-operating whilst using the Big Shot

Louisa and Lauren

Dayana showing the pet passports she made at home with a technique she and her Mum learnt in class - they are really excellent....

.... and Louisa trying to scare her Mum

Lovely girls, all of them - but they eventually went and I came home and flopped in front of the television. I have become addicted to Come Dine with Me and Golden Balls - I will never understand how someone can shake hands and then steal!!! Maybe its just me but it's not something I could ever do. Oh well. I suppose that's life!

Here's today's earring watch......

.....and another journal page done in the shop this morning between customers.

I had fun with just some dabbers, old lids and credit cards and a touch of journalling.

Just got home for lunch, opened the newspaper (only normally buy one on Wednesdays and Saturdays but did today, don't know why??) and Jonathan Cainer says........

When other people are in trouble, their address book seems to fall naturally open on the page with your name on it. You have a crick in your neck from holding the phone while others tell you their troubles. You have a perpetually damp shoulder from all the folk who feel safe to come round and cry on it. Who, though, do you turn to when times are tough? At the moment you've got a lot on your plate and it would be nice to be offered some sympathy or even some actual help. This week, you will get both...

How appropriate that I wrote what I did just this morning.

PS Don't forget the give away - you have until 31st October to be in with a chance.

Happy 1st Anniversary

To celebrate the blog being 1 year old today I am giving away a bag of goodies - embellishments - lots and lots - I think there are 14 packets in all

............and they are sitting in a padded envelope on my desk at the shop waiting to be posted out to someone.

All you have to do to be in with a chance of getting your hands on these goodies is to sign up as a follower and to leave me a comment on my blog before midnight on the 31st October.

On the 1st November I will write all the names on slips of paper and ask Colin to choose one. He knows no-one on here " I know nothin', I'm from Barcelona" as Manuel used to say. I will email the lucky recipient and the parcel will be posted out that day.

so Good luck
